Sri Lanka is blessed with two significant harvesting seasons as well as the low and upcountry vegetables for variety. These vegetable farmers sell in to the middlemen who distribute in turn to the wholesale and retail markets in the country. The branded supermarkets however may buy their supplies directly from the farmer.
